Puppy Questionnaire

If you’re interested in welcoming a Riverggins puppy into your home, we kindly ask that you complete and return our short Puppy Questionnaire. Your answers help us understand your home environment and how a young Labrador might settle into your family life.
We like to meet all prospective owners in person to talk through the process and ensure the best possible match for both you and our puppies. These visits also give you the chance to meet the parents or breeding pairs, explore our facilities, and, where possible, meet other family members or previous offspring.

Riverggins proudly holds a 5‑star breeding licence, awarded for our exceptional standards of knowledge, care, and environment throughout the breeding, whelping, and raising of our puppies.

All of our breeding dogs undergo extensive health testing, including BVA Hip & Elbow scoring, annual eye examinations by a BVA‑certified specialist, and DNA screening for EIC, HNPK, SD2, CNM, PRA, STGD, and MCD. This ensures every Riverggins puppy begins life with the strongest possible foundation.

We do not export our dogs overseas, nor do we place puppies in city‑centre homes.

At Riverggins, every enquiry is received with genuine appreciation. It means a great deal to us when families take the time to reach out, share their stories, and imagine a place for one of our pups in their lives. We read each application with care, looking not only at what a home can offer a dog, but at the natural harmony between a family’s rhythm and a Riverggins temperament. Every pup is an individual, and our responsibility is to honour who they are becoming.

For that reason, while all applications are warmly considered, not every home will be the right fit for a particular dog. Our role is to guide each pup toward the environment where they will truly thrive — where their instincts are understood, their training is supported, and their character is celebrated. This isn’t a judgement on any applicant; it’s simply our promise to the dogs we raise and the families who welcome them. When the match is right, it feels effortless, natural, and unmistakably Riverggins.
